ABOUT MJC CARRIERS LLC.
My journey to founding MJC CARRIERS LLC is deeply personal. The earlier years of life for me wasn’t what I felt to be an atypical start up for a young child as far as the American dream, which is designed to instill values such as hope, ambition, hard work, the belief that anyone regardless of background can achieve success and upward mobility through determination and effort to become a successor is inspired. Optimism, individualism, and aspiration were lacked in my upbringing. In retrospect I was one of those kids that did experience the pros of being raised in a two-parent household- My parents just never saw pass a certain altitude in life. My dad didn’t complete high school, he enlisted in the United State Military where he obtained his G.E.D. My mom was a homemaker for most of my childhood- one major component of life that I often thank my parents for is the exposure to the unmeasured amount of emotional support they both provided me with as a young child. Well, even though the “American Dream” aspects of life were lacked I decided to give it a shot becoming the first in my family to graduate from college in 2011 majoring in Early Childhood Education- promoting key features of early childhood education in children from age birth to eight years of age. My career path as an early childhood educator extended for over 25 years of my life until the untimely death of my 18-year-old son in February 2020. His death redirected my focus away from the passion I once shared in early childhood education. I was snappy, easily agitated, depressed, and anxious most of the time. I quickly realized that I needed time off. While off from work I would often drive to neighboring states to ease my thoughts and calm my spirits listening to Christian music, inspirational, and motivational Christian topics on you tube deepening a much-needed relationship with God. Later I was introduced to Uber/Lyft and other driving platforms with opportunities that provided other pathways to make money while doing what was soothing for me-driving. I never returned to my career as an early childhood educator. After serving the public for 2.5 years as an Uber/Lyft/Delivery driver, I discovered my passion for driving and logistics, which provided me with focus and purpose during a challenging time. This change in my life was also the breakthrough that tailored me into the prospects of working as an independent contractor, which led to an invigorating sense of entrepreneurship. This passion grew as I learned about the pivotal role transportation plays in the medical industry. Through seminars, webinars, and training programs, I developed the knowledge and skills needed to start my own business. Today, I am proud to be expanding MJC CARRIERS LLC to address the growing demand for efficient, secure, and compliant medical courier services in cities like Birmingham, Nashville, Atlanta, and Charleston.
